Easter Egg Hunt a Big Success
Posted on May 8th, 2011
A crowd estimated at over a hundred Fondren Park residents gathered at the Community Center to enjoy the balmy weather and the fellowship offered at the 2011 Easter Egg Hunt on April 17. The Easter Bunny was on hand to greet children and pose for photos.
Special Projects Chair, Dina Williams, arranged for a moonwalk, free popcorn and cold juice for all attendees, as well as a crafts table, where children were invited to make foam visors and other simple crafts.
The children had hundreds of plastic eggs to hunt. The eggs, donated by Bernard and Sheryl Orloff, were filled by Betsy Elenbaas and Susan Trusclair, who both also assisted during the event.
As usual, Missouri City fire fighters kindly provided the Easter Bunny's transportation. We'll add more names to this article as we learn who Dina's other helpers were.
